Dear Liam, Thank you so much for this beautiful Irish blessing- your singing was meant just for me this morning. I am sitting here in Australia, desperately mourning my father who passed away yesterday and missing my daughter so much who lives on the other side of the world in a wee Irish village.Thank You

      Alison,

I’m so sorry to hear about your father. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I’ll have you know, I sang that song at my own father’s funeral… every time I sing it, I think of him and find peace knowing that we will one day meet again. God bless.

Thanks for the serenade Liam! Your voice is just heavenly! I’m sitting here in WI listenting to it as I wear your “I Am of Ireland” charm (recently received). I absolutely love it & wear it proudly, even though I’m not of Irish desent in this life. I truly believe thought, that in a previous life I was born & lived on that beautiful Emerald Isle, as I have always felt a longing for Ireland & everything about it. Thanks again for the special gift of song & your special talents.

That was beautiful. I am not Irish but my father, may he rest in peace, was born on March 17th. Green was his favorite color. I was taught that the end of that prayer was “May you be in Heaven an hour before the Devil knows you’ve died.”

Liam, you brought me to tears! And after reading all the beautiful comments, I teared up again. My Irish grandmother died on March 19, 1999 at exactly 95 and a half. I agree with the others who think you should make a recording of Irish ballads. Wishing you and Corey all the best,

    Love,
    Gwen

Liam – My daughter (Katie Moran Bart) wrote that music to “the Blessing” while she was a senior at St Olaf’s College,MN 30 some years ago. She had it published some years later and it has been quite successful.Interesting to hear where the song has traveled -

    Liam,
Thank you for shraing this with us. It is a beautiful song and you have a wonderful voice. It brought tears to my eyes. My middle school choir often sang this a cappella at the end of concerts. I have fond memories of this song. Thank you again! (Any chance you’ll make a CD in the future? I’d buy it!)
